Make room on your shelves, librarians: two more Captain Underpants books are headed your way! The first, entitled Captain Underpants and the Terrifying Return of Tippy Tinkletrousers, will debut in August 2012; the second, Captain Underpants and the Revolting Revenge of the Radioactive Robo-Boxers, is slated for a January 2013. Also in the mix are two Super Diaper Baby e-books, will be released on January 31, 2012.

With Christmas less than a week away, publishers don’t seem to think the comic shop is a good last minute stop. But comics do fit well into Christmas stockings, just in case you need a good stuffer. Archie Comics releases a new issue of Betty and Veronica, which has Veronica matching her business sense against Mother Nature. Bongo Comics does something interesting, with an unusual cover by Sergio Aragones and stories inside to explain it, in the newest Simpsons Comics.
