Good Comics for Kids

Eva Volin

Interview: Jimmy Gownley

July 27th, 2010

On Friday, July 23, while attending San Diego International Comic-Con, I ran around like a madwoman, rounding up as many of my favorite kids comics creators as I could and asking them all the exact same questions.  Keep in mind, Comic-Con is crazy loud and crazy busy, so there is a lot of background noise.  Let me know in the comments if you have trouble hearing anything and I’ll translate for you.

My second interview was with Jimmy Gownley, author of the Ameila Rules series, which has been compared to both the Ramona books by Beverly Cleary and Judy Blume’s Fudge books.  Pick whichever one you want. I still kind of like Amelia better.
